NGO Website & E-Commerce · Tusome Coffee
Tusome means 'let's learn' in Luganda. Every cup they sell funds a child's education. We built a website that carries that mission without losing sight of the shop.

// 01 — challenge
Tusome Coffee is an NGO, and like many mission-driven organisations, their digital presence wasn't keeping up with the work they were doing on the ground. The cause was real, the impact numbers were compelling, and the product was something people could genuinely get behind. But their website made none of that easy to see. The mission was buried, the shop felt disconnected from the cause, and a first-time visitor had no strong reason to engage or give. For an NGO that depends on public support and product sales to fund its programmes, that gap was costing them.
// 02 — approach
We built a website that treats the mission and the shop as one thing, not two separate sections. The homepage opens with the story: what Tusome means, where the organisation started, and the numbers that prove the impact is real (1M+ cups sold, 500+ children sponsored, 50+ farmers supported across 10+ communities). The online shop sits inside that narrative so every purchase feels like direct participation in the cause. Product listings are clean and focused, with a straightforward basket and checkout. Impact sections break down exactly where the money goes: school fees, uniforms, farmer wages, and community development. The result is a site that works as a fundraising and sales tool at the same time.
